WIFI DRIVERs and BACKGROUNDs
that’s the best Informations about and to solve Issues with Wifi-devices
i can’t find better documented on the world wide net,
and some of the driver packages for PCLinuxOS are sourced from Nick’s repo.
The basics are not distribution specific.
But building the packages for PCLinuxOS is.
Clear recommendation if WiFi USB adapter that supports LINUX is with chip: MT7921AU
Corresponding devices are already on the market and are fully supported by the KERNEL team. Unlike Realtek,
where it still requires the grueling work of multiple developers:
e.g.: UlliKroll, LWFINGER, kelebek333, …,
and just Nick (on morrownr)
I wish everyone who does this work a peaceful, successful year and health!
I will continue to provide PCLinuxOS packages with drivers for various models here as time and health permit.

My respect to everyone who solves problems in PCLinuxOS and makes it possible for users of old Nvidia to use the 340 driver again with kernel-5.16.4

this is a little (~2,2 GB) but not minimal iso with different features:
1. only the most important dkms drivers are installed, broadcom-wl, nvidia-current and nvidia340
2. OFFLINE REPO is available in ISO even if no supported network connection is available in live mode, so you can still test whether a corresponding up-to-date (status: date of ISO creation) dkms driver is able to support the existing hardware, so Synaptic ( „Software Center => Synaptic Packet Manager“ ) is used for this,
3. Otherwise, as always, it’s an ISO built on top of PCLinuxOS with XFCE desktop and a theme that dispenses with symbolic icons as much as possible,a new Equilizer is onboard, and not ready to use application „Support lan, wifi and drivers“,

Ich distanziere mich von allen mit Q oder anderen Buchstaben/Zahlen/Sonderzeichen beginnenden Verschwörungs-/Angst- und Pandemieleugn*n/Theoretik*n/Organisationen/Gruppen/Parteien, welche die derzeitige akute Lage (neue Mutationen des Virus, Impfstoffproblematik,etc) zu ihren Zwecken ausnutzen.
In einer pandemischen Notsituation verbietet sich aus meiner Sicht jeglicher politischer (Wahl-)kampf. Vielmehr wäre es sinnvoll, parteiübergreifend miteinander konstruktiv zu aggieren statt immer gegeneinander mit Schuldzuweisungen destruktiv zu reagieren.
Neue Mutationen entstehen nicht nur in bestimmten Ländern, vielmehr verhält es sich vereinfacht gesagt so, jemehr Weitergabe eines Virus erfolgt, umso mehr steigt die Wahrscheinlichkeit das dieser auf Grund von Mensch zu Mensch unterschiedlicher Säure-Basen-Eiweis-Konstellationen und Vorerkrankungen etc, mit ganz neuen Kombinationen konfrontiert wird und eben daraus „lernt“, sich durch biochemische Reaktionen durchaus veränderte Eiweisverbindungen zurückbehält, welche dann bei neuer Übertragung zum Zuge im Kontaktieren von Körperzellen kommen oder eben nicht. Trotzdem kann man davon ausgehen, das eben diese Informationen (zurückbleibende Eiweiskombinationen o.ä.) auf der Virusoberfläche und in seinem Inneren gespeichert/erhalten bleiben.
Gibt es eine 100%ige Sicherheit betreffs der Überlebensfähigkeit des Virus in Tagen, kann man mit eben der Anzahl von Tagen einen kompletten Lockdown starten und würde so eventuell 90% aller Viren abtöten, bzw. deren Verbreitung verhindern. Dazu sind wir Menschen aber garnichtmehr in der Lage, weil es uns in allen Schichten der Bevölkerung an Disziplin, Anstand und Würde mangeld. Die Mehrheit verhält sich solidarisch mit den Nachbarn, aber eben diese virusschädliche Verknüpfung wird von Einzelnen mit ihrem egoistischen Weltbild zerschnitten. So bleibt uns nur die Abhängigkeit zum Impfstoff und dessen breitflächige möglichst zeitgleiche (83Mio. in möglichst wenigen Wochen durchimpfen) Anwendung. Ich bin dafür, dass all jene, die sich nicht impfen lassen wollen (dies darf natürlich nicht für Personen gelten, deren Gesundheitszustand einer Anwendung eines Impfstoffes aus medizinischer Sicht widerspricht), ganz bewusst in voller Zurechnungsfähigkeit, notariell abgesichert und niedergeschrieben, auf jegliche Nothilfe durch Ambulanzen, Notärzte und Krankenhaus-, Intensivstationen und so weiter verzichten!
Das wäre dann der kleinst mögliche Nenner an Solidarität gegenüber Eltern (und deren Kinder) in sozialen Berufen wie Alten- und Krankenpflege, Ärzt*en, Chirurgie, Stationspersonal, Krankentransport, Feuerwehr, Polizei und in Ämtern und Behörden.
Genau das ist traurig!
